U - BOAT BINOCULARS – CARL ZEISS 7 x 50 BLC  1941 – 1943

These binoculars were handed out as standard equipment on the German U-boats.
At least ten specimen were present on every U-boat.
This model was used by the watchman on the tower’s bridge.
It has steady focus and the lenses are of extremely high quality.

Autofocus lenses are a standard accessory of these binoculars, a great technical progress in those days.

Under the protecting rubber the letters BLC, the factory code of Carl Zeiss and a manufacturing number are visible.
