These binoculars are equipped with swinging weather shields.
These serve to protect the lenses against incoming sunlight and seawater, but also to be able to clean the lenses more thoroughly.
The optical quality of these binoculars is excellent.
A characteristic of these binoculars is the amazing amount of light and the panoramic image.
General information on the built-in filters:
Neutral shades of grey can be used in clear weather conditions and against sunlight.
Light orange or yellow can heighten the contrast in sparse light, snow and fog.

These 10 x 80 Ross binoculars are made in London.
These English binoculars have an Art Deco elegance and date from 1944, they have a magnification of 10 x.
This binocular model Ross 10x80 binoculars was often used by the Admirals of His Majesties Fleet.
Engraved on the left cover plate is the year 1944. A large 'B' on the right side indicates that the lenses have a lens coating.
Comes in the original box with print ROSS LONDON , the patent number and Admiralty arrows.
Andrew Ross 1798-1859 founded his company in 1830 and started producing camera lenses.
The company grew and began to work closely with Zeiss around 1890.
Zeiss and Goetz lenses were manufactured and sold under license by Ross in the United Kingdom.
At the outbreak of the war, the British government put Ross in charge of the newly opened Carl Zeiss binoculars and
optical factory in Mill Hill, London.
Ross London produced exceptional binoculars and telescopes.
By the 1940s, Ross had perfected their large marine binoculars, aided by their partnership with Carl Zeiss.
